Toyrocket is proud to offer an easy, convenient and truly unique way of offering you products which are not yet in stock or are temporarily out of stock. In addition to buying products which are in stock on the website, you have the option of pre-ordering upcoming products and backordering products which are expected to come in again soon. Below is a complete breakdown of how the Pre-orders and Backorders work.

All products on the toyrocket.com site fall into 1 of 3 availability categories:

In Stock - Items which are in stock are currently available in the Toyrocket warehouse and are ready to ship.
Backordered - Items which were in stock but are temporarily sold out but are expected to be back in stock soon
Preorder - Items which have not yet been released but are expected to be in stock soon
Special Preorder - Exclusive items which have not yet been released but are expected to be in stock soon.

In Stock - In stock items typically ship within 1-2 business days.
Backordered - Each backordered item will show an estimate of how long we anticipate that it may take for the item to be back in stock again. This is just an estimate, the wait time may be more or less.
Preorder - Each preorder item will show an estimated ship date which is typically based on the release date indicated by the manufacturer. This is just an estimate, the wait time may be more or less. In the event that the release date is delayed, we will immediately update the item to reflect the new date.

In Stock - In stock items are charged to your payment method immediately upon checkout.
Backordered - Backordered items are not charged until the item is in stock and has been processed to be shipped to you. You will see no charge or authorization for any backordered item until that time. You will, however, be charged for shipping at the time of the order.
Preorder - Preorder items are not charged until the item is in stock and has been processed to be shipped to you. You will see no charge or authorization for any backordered item until that time. You will, however, be charged for shipping at the time of the order.
Special Preorder - In some rare cases, you will see items which are Special Preorders. This applies to items which are exclusives with great market sensitivity. In these rare cases, you will be charged for the items in advance at checkout.

PLEASE NOTE: Backorders and preorders are filled in the order in which they are received. If your backorder/preorder is placed with a credit card, an attempt will be made to charge your card for the items when the backorder/preorder is fillable. In the event that your card is declined, the items will be assigned to another customer's order and you will be notified. If your order is placed using paypal, check or money order you will receive a request for payment. If the payment is not received within 5 days then the items will be assigned to another customer's order and you will be notified. If there is still enough of the item to fill your order when payment is received, then your order will be filled at that time.

In Stock - Shipping is charged when the order is placed based on the shipping method you choose.
Backorders/Preorders - Shipping is charged for the order when placed, and that shipping is applied to the first shipment from that order. After that, a new shipping charge is added for each subsequent shipment as backordered/preorder items come into stock and ship to you. For example, if you place an order for 3 backordered/preorder items, shipping for the first item to ship is charged at checkout, and as the second and third items come in to stock and ship, a shipping charge will be added for the shipment of those items.

If your order contains in stock items as well as backordered and/or preorder items, you will only be charged for the in stock items. The in stock items will ship immediately. When the backordered/preorder items come in stock, you will be charged for those items plus shipping and the items will ship then.

Yes, absolutely. You may at any time cancel any backorder or preorder which has not yet processed or shipped. (Please note: does not apply to Comic-Con preorders. See below) We also reserve the right to cancel any pending backorder or preorder at any time. This may be necessary if an item is discontinued, canceled or if we determine that we will not be able to fulfill the backorder/preorder for any other reason. Customers are always notified immediately in the event that we need to cancel a preorder or backorder.

Although the price of an item offered for backorder or preorder may fluctuate, the price at which you backordered or preordered the item is fixed. In other words, you will never be charged more for an item than the price it was when you originally ordered it.

Toyrocket Comic-Con Exclusives: Toyrocket is excited to announce that, for the second year in a row, we will be offering 3 brand new exclusive action figures at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. For a limited time, we are allowing customers, both attendee and non-attendee, to pre-order the figures.
Attendee preorders are GUARANTEED to receive the figures, but they MUST be in attendance at the show and pick them up in person. Customers must bring their printed receipt, the credit card used to place the order and their ID which must match the information provided in the order. Preorders not picked up at the show will be fulfilled with the non-attendee preorders after the show concludes if quantity remains.
Non-attendee preorders do not guarantee receipt of a figure as the figures may sell out at the show. However, if the figure remains in stock following the show, all non-attendee preorders will be filled immediately upon return from the show before the figure is offered to the general public.
Unlike regular preorders, Comic-Con preorders are charged at the time the order is placed. This is done to avoid rampant speculation and "just in case" orders which prevent actual customers from reserving their rightful place in line. Any preorders which cannot be filled will be refunded within 48 hours after sellout.

Other Non-Toyrocket Comic-Con Exclusives: As a service to our customers who cannot attend regional conventions, we offer presales of items exclusive to shows at which we are vendors. However, because we are buying these items specifically in advance for customers who preorder them, we have to charge for the item at checkout, rather than upon shipping as with regular preorders. This is due primarily to individuals who speculate in the market by preordering hot, limited items only to cancel later if they change their mind despite the fact that we have already secured the item for them. Therefore, preorders of Comic-Con exclusive items not exclusive to Toyrocket cannot be refunded and are not returnable. Defective or damaged exclusives can be exchanged for a replacement of the same item.
